WIREA is requesting the Stock
Contractor supply approved stock only.
All mounted contestants are
expected to represent WIREA in the Grand Entry if asked.
Stock Charges –It
is in the best interest of the contestants to inquire whether their stock has been worked or ran through in their respective
events. Contestants will be charged a stock fee and the contestants will no longer be charged admission at the gate.
Local Entries – To be taken
strictly through the local rodeo office. The local committee has the decision to decide whether or not to take the entry as
they are liable and responsible to pay for all local entries. All local entries must be paid before they will be entered in
to the draw for the rodeo. The fee is $15.00 per contestant with a maximum of 2 rodeos.
Entry Fees – Contestants who
do not have their entry fees paid by the end of that event will be fined $25.00
All Contestants – Late Entry Fees
– any contestant who wishes to enter after the entry hours are closed Thursday at 9:20pm, may do so, but they will
be required to pay an additional $10.00 per event. The contestant will be required to pay this additional cost at the rodeo,
which he/she is entering. Late Entries may be taken until Friday at 9:30pm. NO entries will be taken after this time.
Dress Code is mandatory at all the
WIREA Rodeos in and out of the rodeo arena ONE HOUR BEFORE THE RODEO. Contestants will be fined $10.00 and this will be enforced
at all rodeos.
Stock Contractor’s- all stock contractor’s must
purchase a WIREA Stock Contractor’s Membership to be able to have a contract at any WIREA rodeo. Also, once you have
purchased your membership your name/company can be posted in the newsletter for advertisement.
Barrel Racers
All barrel racers will be charged for the
use of the Electric Eye. Please do not set the barrels on the markers during practice. They are required to be a minimum of
6 ft. off the markers. The first and the last barrel racer in the performance draw, must assist the judges to mark the barrel
pattern at least 1.5 hrs prior to start time. The barrel pattern, entrance and the exit will be decided at the judges' discretion.
There will be a $ fine for not fulfilling your duties.
Warm up time in
the arena will be closed 45 minutes prior to rodeo time so that the arena can be raked and harrowed and ready for grand entry.
Breakaway Ropers - Breakaway String
will be checked before entering the box for all breakaway ropers. All breakaway ropers must use the string that is provided
by the office.
Jr. Steer Riding or Jr. Bull Riding –
it is mandatory for all Jr. Steer Riders/Jr. Bull Riders to wear a protective helmet and Safety Flak Jacket during competition.
If a contestant is unable to do so, they will be not able to compete in that event.
Jr. Steer Riding or Jr. Bull Riding –
The Rodeo committee has the option to provide Jr. Steers, Jr. Bulls, or cows for this event. The committee must choose and
provide the information to the WIREA rodeo office prior to the call in date.
Remember: If you guarantee someone’s
entry you are responsible for his or her entry fees and turn out fines if they do not pay their fees.
